Charity Dinner

2025 Charity Dinner

The 2025 Charity Dinner on Friday 17th at the Davistown RSL was an outstanding success. 109 people enjoyed a great meal and the musical offerings of Brendon Watson. It was an opportunity for people to socialise and enjoy a casual evening. The evening also included a number of raffles, silent auctions and lucky dips. An original painting donated by local artist – Lorraine Parker – was also auctioned and was sold for $1600. Many local organisations donated an enormous number of gifts, vouchers and experiences for the raffles, silent auctions and lucky dips. While the final numbers are being compiled, a very generous community raised almost $8,000. When added to funds raised on Sunday through ferry rides, gold coin donations and merchandise sales the Regatta and Charity Dinner raised approximately $14,000 all of which goes directly to our chosen charity – Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia – a great result. This raises our overall contribution to that organisation over 7 events to over $80,000.
