With the major impacts of COVID19 hopefully behind us, the Organising Committee has begun planning for the 2021 Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival and the related events of the Kids With Cancer Heritage Challenge and the Putt Putt Regatta Charity Dinner. The dates being planned for this year are:
- Putt Putt Charity Dinner – Friday, 22nd October at the Davistown RSL
- Kids With Cancer Heritage Ferry Challenge – Saturday, 23rd October
- Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival – Sunday, 24th October
With a gap of 2 years between events we are planning for a bumper weekend of entertainment, fun & boating for all the family.
Our ability to run the event/s will continue to be impacted by NSW Government regulations relating to COVID-19, approvals from Central Coast Council, Police, Roads and Maritime and our ability to raise funds from our current and hopefully some new sponsors.

It is with a great deal of regret that the Organising Committee has reached a decision to cancel the 2020 Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival.
The Committee has been monitoring the current situation regarding the outbreaks of COVID-19 in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, the changing public health measures and the high likelihood that the virus will still be in the general community in November. Our particular structure on the Davistown Waterfront means that we cannot control crowd numbers and cannot adequately police appropriate social distancing. This, coupled with our concerns for the local community and the likely influx of visitors, has meant that we had no other option.
This was a tough decision to reach especially coming on the heels of an extremely successful 2019 event. We all look forward to being able to run bigger and better events in 2021.
The cancellation also applies to the Putt Putt Charity Dinner and the Kids with Cancer Heritage Ferry Challenge.
The Committee would like to thank our major sponsors – Central Coast Council, Mitre10 Kincumber, Central Coast Motor Group, Davistown RSL, Edge Real Estate Saratoga, Central Coast Floormaster, Bendigo Bank – for once again supporting us and we hope to see you back for the 2021 event.
All plans are now in place for the 2019 Davistown Putt Putt Regatta Charity Dinner. This evening of dining, dancing, entertainment, raffles and silent auctions has proved to be a great night out over the last 2 years and this year’s event will be no exception. All ticketing is being managed by the Davistown RSL so call and reserve your table for Friday 18th October.
Music will again be provided by Kristie Coote and her band and once again all proceeds will go to the Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia. Representatives from the charity will also join us this year and will speak about the work they do and the value that events such as the Charity Dinner bring to them.
Local businesses have again been very generous with their donations of prizes for the evening including Bing Lee, Central Coast Ferries, Central Coast Bricks and many many others. Special thanks also to Ruth Cameron from Edge Real Estate and Amanda Chesterton from AC Fitness who have sponsored the entertainment for the evening

The Big4 Holiday Park at Forster-Tuncurry has generously provided the Regatta Charity Dinner with a significant prize offering for the last 2 years and we are delighted to be able to help them highlight their “Silver Schoolies” promotion in July/August this year.
The BIG4 Great Lakes “Silver Schoolies” aims to offer an interactive and engaging experience for caravan and holiday park travellers. Park Manager, Michaela Breese, said the concept followed on from the success of the weekly sausage sizzle. There is such a great community feeling in the park and guests have the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones while having a bit of fun – just like traditional “schoolies” weeks.
